Events Marketing Internship

We are looking for a bright, curious, and ambitious individuals to take part in our 12 month Marketing Training Program. This is a fab, paid opportunity to develop new skills and gain some first‑hand experience in marketing and advertising as an intern.

This role would be well‑suited to individuals interested in pursuing a career in marketing or events and seeking work experience alongside their current studies.

You will be learning from a first‑class marketing department that will ensure you get a real breadth of experience across our Marketing function. You will get to know the ins and outs of a real Software firm, and be involved directly in our most important marketing projects.

The internship will be for a period of 12 months and we require 5 hours a week per intern that we hire. The hours that are worked can be flexible to fit around University study.

Events Marketing Intern
  • Supporting the team on our portfolio of events, which includes our flagship conference, CMO Series Live, as well as exhibitions, round tables and client social events.
  • Helping to source venues, managing guest lists and researching suppliers.
  • Creating content for marketing campaigns to promote these events and client‑led community work, using a combination of social media channels paired with email marketing.
  • Post‑event reporting to understand the return on investment from the events.
What skills do you need?

We’ll teach you all about how to do the job here, so it’s more important you come with some core strengths, behaviours and skills that you’ve gained from university or through a part‑time job alongside studying. Here are some things that will help you stand out:

  • A strong interest in the marketing profession.
  • Studying for a degree related to Marketing/Advertising/Business.
  • Creativity and very basic design skills e.g., Canva/Photoshop.
  • Hunger to learn and willingness to work hard.
  • Good written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to commit to 5 hours per week.
What about role logistics?

This role will predominantly involve remote working, but we would like the successful individual to be able to travel to our Oxford office from time to time to meet the team/wider business. You will also be given the chance to attend some of our UK events which will be great experience to see how we run successful events for our clients.

1st Stage – Pre‑screening interview with a member of the Marketing team

2nd Stage – Video/f2f interview & task presentation with our Events & Community Manager (Natasha), Marketing & Communications Manager (Charlie) & Head of Marketing (Sam).
