Specialist, Growth Marketing - Online Grocery (PC Express)
Location:
500 Lakeshore Blvd West, Toronto, ON. This role requires 4 days in-office.
At Loblaw Digital, we are building Canada’s #1 online grocery service and need you to help grow it.
Responsibilities- Planning – Work with the Sr. Marketing Manager to plan growth initiatives across owned, paid, and earned channels with a focus on driving customer acquisition, loyalty, and business results. Identify opportunities for new customer acquisition, adoption of new product launches, and initiatives to grow weekly active users.
- Collaboration & Execution – Assess growth program objectives and develop go‑to‑market plans and execution tactics. Prepare creative briefs, manage campaign calendars and projects ensuring a successful launch. Review creative recommendations and provide feedback ensuring alignment with brand positioning, tone, and business needs. Collaborate with the Customer Relationship Growth team on prioritization, segmentation, and deployment of program messaging across channels (email, site, app).
Work with broader teams to integrate PC Express messaging across their channels (in‑store, other business unit channels). Partner with digital agencies and external vendors on paid channel assets, execution tactics, and program performance. Demonstrate strong collaboration and influencing skills to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives and support the broader growth and marketing team to deliver on growth objectives (growing weekly active users). - Reporting – Use internal tools and external platforms to report on business results, campaign performance, and key learnings. Report on new growth initiatives, channels, and messaging tests to develop best‑practice models and execution playbooks. Use learnings from previous campaigns and tests to recommend future improvements and contribute to overall growth strategy development and planning.
- 2–4 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail or e‑commerce.
- Understanding of digital marketing and e‑commerce principles and best practices.
- Experience executing or managing traditional marketing tactics (owned, earned, and paid).
- Ability to generate meaningful business and customer insights from disparate data.
- Growth mindset; customer‑obsessed; entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong attention to detail; highly organized; able to prioritize multiple projects while working effectively and independently in a fast‑paced workplace with constant change.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship‑building skills across multiple roles and functions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline is an asset.
- Basic HTML and web markup knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with SQL and analytics platforms is an asset.
