Duties

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing, Communications and Economic Development, the Marketing and Communications Officer contributes to and implements corporate-wide communications and marketing strategies that support the City’s Strategic Plan and business planning objectives, including the development and delivery of internal and external communications strategies, public relations and effective engagement strategies to the public, employees, businesses, institutions and media in alignment with the City’s vision, priorities, programs and messaging.

Qualifications

Considerable experience in the areas of marketing and communication; supplemented by graduation with a university degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related discipline; or sufficient qualifications as determined by assessment. Knowledge of municipal government would be an asset.
