Join us and help bring our culture to life

At Moat, we’re on an exciting journey. We’ve launched a new corporate strategy, introduced our Moat Offer, refreshed our website and are preparing to launch a new repairs service. As we continue to evolve, our Communications team are expanding, and we have a number of exciting new roles. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Internal Communications Officer to help keep colleagues informed, engaged and connected.

Internal communications is about much more than sharing information. It’s about building understanding, strengthening culture and helping people feel part of something meaningful. If you’re a strong writer who can turn complex information into clear, engaging content and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

The role

As our Internal Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality communications that support colleague engagement across the organisation.

You’ll create compelling content, support communication campaigns and events, and help maintain our intranet as a trusted source of information. Working closely with teams across the business, you’ll ensure important messages are communicated clearly, consistently and effectively.

We want you to feel confident from the moment you join us. That’s why we offer a monthly corporate induction programme joining Moat on the first Monday of each month, bringing together new colleagues from across the business. During your first week, you’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow new starters, learn about our organisation, values and strategy, and begin building relationships that will support you throughout your career with us.

About us

Moat is a housing association in the South East of England, owning and managing over 20,000 homes across London, Kent, Essex, and Sussex. As one of the Homes England delivery partners, we develop around 600 new homes every year. Our team of over 450 passionate professionals are committed to providing high quality, affordable homes, and excellent services to our customers.

  • Enjoy competitive salaries and generous leave.
  • Benefit from numerous personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Work in a hybrid way that allows you to work from our spacious Dartford office (or other regional offices including Maldon, Pollards Hill and Ashford) some days a week while also giving you the flexibility to work from home or another location that suits your needs.

Our commitment to creating a positive work environment has earned us recognition as one of 'The Sunday Times Best Places to Work' in 2025.
