Our client, a large public sector organization, is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Consultant to support a portfolio of high-profile enterprise initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how complex organizational priorities are communicated, ensuring employees and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned during periods of transformation.
Working closely with senior leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts, you'll play a trusted advisory role, developing communication strategies that bring clarity to complex initiatives. - Provide strategic communications advice to directors and senior leaders, supporting enterprise priorities and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and execute communication strategies and change communication plans for complex, cross-functional projects.
- Create executive-ready materials, including briefing notes, presentations, key messages, and reporting summaries that support informed decision-making.
- Translate complex information into clear, audience-focused communications while ensuring consistency across multiple initiatives.
- Coordinate communication activities across concurrent projects, aligning stakeholders, timelines, and messaging.
- Build trusted relationships across the organization, influencing diverse stakeholder groups and fostering collaboration without formal authority.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, corporate communications, marketing, public affairs, or a related field.
- Proven experience advising Director-level leaders and above on communications strategy.
- Demonstrated success supporting enterprise transformation, organizational change, or large-scale strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills in large, complex organizations.
- Experience preparing executive communications, including briefing notes, presentations, and strategic reporting materials.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and intranet platforms.
