Role Overview
At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. The Senior Specialist, Internal Communications, Marketing & Communications (French Services) will support the transformation of Radio‑Canada through robust internal communications. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications, the Senior Specialist will develop and execute strategies, plans and initiatives to enable change management across French Services departments, building relationships with internal partners and ensuring a smooth transition while fostering employee buy‑in.
Note:
This is a 12‑month contract position (Long‑Term contract). The role is hybrid, with a mix of in‑office and remote work; arrangements will be discussed with the hiring manager.
- Develop, plan and execute internal communications strategies that address the change management needs of departments undergoing transformation.
- Craft clear, compelling messages tailored to specific target audiences across various channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization to foster trust and collaboration.
- Collaborate with change management teams and business leaders to ensure communication activities align with objectives and fit seamlessly into the overall organizational strategy.
- Develop and execute creative, innovative and impactful initiatives that align with our strategic positioning.
- Proactively identify and manage potential communications risks and challenges.
- Assess the effectiveness of communications efforts and recommend improvements or refine the approach to achieve results.
- Proactively seek input and feedback from stakeholders, incorporating their perspectives into communications and change management strategies.
- Facilitate effective two‑way communication between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Participate and support the Internal Communications team in their other activities.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Expertise in change management methodologies and proficiency in communications tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with the media industry is an asset.
- Creative, proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and rally colleagues around common goals.
- Adaptability, open mind, emotional and cultural intelligence.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- English/French bilingualism (spoken and written).
