Reports to: Head of Retention

Off the back of our May hire and growing client roster, we're looking to bring on another Email & Retention Manager.
Your Mission:You don't just build Klaviyo flows - you design retention systems that drive serious revenue. You'll lead retention strategy across a portfolio of 6-8 established e-commerce brands. This is a senior role focused on strategy, architecture, QA, and results - not day-to-day email building.
You'll sit at the intersection of lifecycle strategy, segmentation logic, and commercial performance-helping brands maximise lifetime value through smarter retention systems.
About Affluent:Affluent is one of the UK's leading e-commerce growth agencies. We help ambitious DTC brands scale through world-class creative strategy, performance marketing, and content systems. Our team has managed over £150 million in Meta ad spend and works with some of the fastest-growing brands in the UK and internationally. We're building a business known not only for the results we generate, but for the ideas we share.
This role will play a key part in making that happen.
Retention is one of the highest-leverage growth channels available to DTC brands. The brands that win aren't simply sending more emails-they're building stronger flow architecture, sharper segmentation, and retention systems that compound over time.
This role exists to help our clients build exactly that, and to turn strong retention thinking into measurable, scalable revenue growth across every account you own.
Key Responsibilities:- Own retention strategy for 6-8 e-commerce brands
- Design advanced Klaviyo flow architecture and segmentation strategies
- Build promotional calendars and planning cycles aligned with business objectives
- Identify opportunities to grow LTV and repeat purchase rate through stronger retention systems
- Brief internal copywriters, designers, and email specialists with clear technical requirements
- QA all builds before launch - you're the final quality gate
- Maintain high standards of execution across every account
- Monitor and optimise key retention metrics (LTV, repeat purchase rate, flow revenue)
- Lead performance reviews and translate results into next steps
- Use data to continuously refine flows, segmentation, and messaging
- Act as the strategic retention lead for assigned accounts
- Lead planning sessions and performance reviews with clients
- Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Direct a small specialist delivery team of copywriters, designers, and email specialists
- Work closely with performance marketing and creative teams to align retention with wider growth strategy
- Support the wider team with retention best practice

- 3+ years of strategic Klaviyo experience (agency or in-house)
- Deep technical knowledge of flows, segmentation, and integrations
- Experience working on mature retention programs where email/SMS is a major revenue driver
- Confidence managing multiple clients and directing a small specialist team
- Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders
- Comfortable managing multiple brands and projects simultaneously
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail

- Experience with SMS platforms alongside Klaviyo
- Experience across beauty, fashion, health, wellness, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands
- Experience using AI tools to support retention strategy and workflows
You're someone who enjoys building systems, not just sending campaigns. You think in flows, triggers, and segments, and you care about the mechanics behind why retention works-not just what gets sent.
You take ownership, think commercially, and care about outcomes more than activity. You're motivated by the challenge of scaling retention across multiple ambitious brands.
What You’ll Get:- 26 Days Annual leave entitlement
- Work with established e-commerce brands with real budgets and ambition
- Focus on strategy - you have a dedicated team to execute
- Fully remote (UK-based) with flexible hours
- Clear progression path over 6,12 and 18 months as the retention function scales
