Job Description & How to Apply Below

Shine is the financial copilot for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Founded by serial entrepreneurs Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund, Shine is a leading European fintech unicorn on a mission to restore the joy of running a business, by ending wasted time on financial admin. Shine offers a connected solution for invoicing, accounting, payroll, business accounts, payments, and financing, meaning business owners can focus their energy on growing a healthy business, not held back by manual admin.

Part of something bigger

Today we're part of Cegid, a European leader in cloud software for finance and accounting. Together we're building Europe's leading financial copilot for small businesses and their accountants.

Shine already supports more than 400,000 small businesses. As part of Cegid, we now reach over one million small businesses and 15,000 accountants across Europe.

We're a multicultural team working from France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, contributing to a wider European network that spans Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

Your hiring experience matters

Just as we respect our customers' time, we respect yours. Your experience with Shine and Cegid should feel simple, transparent and genuinely supportive.

If this sounds like somewhere you want to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

The Product Marketing Team Structure at Shine

The Product Marketing Manager will report functionally into Product Marketing but will operate day-to-day as part of the Dutch Business Unit — partnering closely with the Business Unit Lead on activity, revenue, and commercial prioritisation.

The role spans the full arc from market understanding to in-market execution, with insights feeding back into the product and roadmap.

Your role as a Product Marketing Manager at Shine

We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own how Shine's Invoicing & Accounting product reaches, lands with, and grows its customer base in the Dutch market.

Success in this role means measurable impact on acquisition, activation, adoption, and retention: the product clearly positioned against local competition, and a reliable flow of market insight feeding the roadmap in close partnership with Product Managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Market & competitive intelligence: Size the market, track trends and competitors, maintain differentiators and pricing benchmarks, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
  • Customer understanding & segmentation: Own the research rhythm in Netherlands (in-app feedback, surveys, interviews, behavioural data, CS/Sales input) and identify underserved segments and use cases.
  • Whitespace & opportunities: Size and prioritise new opportunities in local and global context and partner with Product Managers on market-specific discovery.
  • Positioning, offer & go-to-market: Localise global positioning and narrative for the Dutch market, define proof points and competitive angles per segment, shape plan differentiation and upsell triggers, and lead hands-on GTM execution (launches, campaigns, messaging).
  • Product presence & lifecycle: Own how the product shows up in the Dutch market — website, activation flows, in-app messaging, onboarding — and drive adoption, retention, and feature awareness with clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Sales & CS enablement: Equip Sales and CS with sharp enablement: messaging guides, competitive battle cards, objection-handling frameworks, and launch briefings.

Job located in Amsterdam with possibility of two remote working days per week.

About you
  • You have 3–6 years of experience in Product Marketing and feel at home working on digital or SaaS products.
  • You like to take ownership: you’ve already led product or feature launches end to end – from first insight to live release.
  • You can turn complex technical topics into simple, creative stories that people actually get and that create real “aha” moments.
  • You’re a natural collaborator and communicator, working smoothly with Product, Sales, Marketing, and other teams to keep everyone aligned.
  • You care about outcomes: you set clear KPIs, track what’s working (and what isn’t), and adjust your approach based on data.
  • You think in value and impact,…
