The Assistant Manager Business Development is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with a mix of on-site work at the theatre and some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, including partnerships, sponsor ships, and programme collaborations that support the theatre's mission and revenue growth. Day-to-day tasks include researching potential partners, preparing proposals and presentations, coordinating outreach campaigns, and maintaining relationships with schools, community organizations, corporates, and arts bodies.
The role also involves supporting marketing initiatives, tracking performance metrics, managing databases, and assisting in planning events and productions to enhance audience engagement. The Assistant Manager Business Development will work closely with artistic and operations teams to ensure business plans align with artistic objectives and community impact.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills, including experience in partnerships, sponsor ships, or sales.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze opportunities, and develop clear proposals and presentations.
- Competence in marketing and communications, such as social media, outreach campaigns, and basic digital tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders (schools, corporates, community groups).
- Organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives, events, and timelines.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating both in person and remotely as needed.
- Passion for the arts, culture, and education; interest in puppetry or theatre is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in business, marketing, arts management, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in the arts, non-profit, or education sectors in Singapore is beneficial.
