Sony Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to work out of our Toronto, Canada offices and play a key role in the marketing communications planning and execution for Sony's Home Entertainment division.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing communications strategies for Sony’s Home Entertainment business, with a primary focus on the Canada market and channel marketing execution across both the U.S. and Canada. The position helps translate business priorities, consumer insights, and retailer needs into effective go-to-market plans across retail, digital marketing, creative, and channel marketing programs.
The role requires strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, retail/channel marketing experience, and the ability to evaluate program performance to inform future planning.
Senior Marketing Communications Specialist Responsibilities Include
Canada market focus plus U.S./Canada channel marketing planning and execution
Integrated go-to-market planning across retail, digital marketing, creative, CRM, and channel programs
Partnering with retailers to build annual marketing plans, support execution and review ongoing reporting. Evaluate performance against objectives and translate results into actionable learnings for future planning.
Cross-functional project management and stakeholder coordination.
Understanding of the product market, target consumers, retailer dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to inform relevant marketing strategies.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience.
2 to 4 years of experience in marketing communications, channel marketing, retail marketing, digital marketing, or integrated campaign execution.
Experience supporting Canada market planning and/or U.S. and Canada retail/channel marketing programs.
Retailer/channel marketing experience, including planning, asset execution, promotional support, and sales alignment.
Strong project management skills across briefs, timelines, stakeholders, assets, expense management, and cross-functional work streams.
Ability to track performance, summarize results, and identify actionable learnings.
Strong communication, presentation, and copywriting skills.
Ability to develop multi-channel strategies grounded in product, consumer, competitive, and market insights.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities on tight timelines.
Competency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $58,375 to $77,833. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical (vision care) and dental benefits, life insurance, paid disability leave, defined contribution pension plan with company matching, vacation time, tuition reimbursement, paid sick leave time annually.
