About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to join their team in Midrand. This role is pivotal in shaping and maintaining the public image of the organization through strategic communication campaigns. You will be responsible for developing and executing PR strategies that enhance brand visibility, manage reputation, and foster positive relationships with media, stakeholders, and the public.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a deep understanding of media relations and a proven track record of successful PR initiatives, contributing to a collaborative environment focused on impactful communication in Gauteng.

• Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials to relevant channels.
• Monitor media coverage, analyze campaign performance, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
• Manage crisis communications, developing proactive and reactive strategies to protect the organization's reputation.
• Organize and coordinate press conferences, media events, and other promotional activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR strategies and manage crisis communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of storytelling and media engagement techniques.
• Proficiency in using PR software and social media management tools for monitoring and outreach.
