Communications Manager - Non-Profit

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and strategic Communications Manager to lead their communications efforts in Sandton . This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the organization's brand, engage stakeholders, and support fundraising goals. You will manage all internal and external communications, including media relations, digital presence, and content creation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the non-profit landscape and a proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, operating on a hybrid schedule that allows for both remote work and in-person collaboration.

• Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Manage the organization's public relations, media outreach, and crisis communications.
• Oversee content creation across all platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, and annual reports.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all communication channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and key influencers.
• Supervise junior communication staff and manage external communications vendors.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating impact.
• Strong media relations and digital marketing experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing remote tasks and attending meetings in Sandton .
