About the Role
Our client is actively searching for a skilled E-commerce Content Specialist to join their fully remote team, contributing to their online retail operations from anywhere in South Africa . In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling and accurate product descriptions, website copy, and marketing materials that drive customer engagement and sales. You'll work closely with the e-commerce and marketing departments to ensure brand consistency and optimize content for search engines and user experience.

- Write, edit, and proofread product descriptions , website copy, and promotional materials to be clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly.
- Develop and manage a content calendar for the e-commerce website and associated digital channels.
- Optimize existing content to improve search engine rankings and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
- Create visually appealing content, such as banners and graphics, for online use.
- Stay updated on e-commerce best practices and content marketing trends.
- Proven experience as a Content Writer , Copywriter, or similar role in e-commerce.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research tools.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
