About the Role

Our client, a vital non-profit organization serving communities across Limpopo , is seeking a creative and skilled Communications Officer . This hybrid role requires a balance of remote work and on-site engagement within the province. You will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that raise awareness of our work, engage stakeholders, and promote our mission. The ideal candidate has a knack for storytelling, excellent writing and digital media skills, and a passion for communicating social impact.

You will work closely with program teams and leadership to ensure our message resonates with diverse audiences across the Limpopo region and beyond, contributing to increased support and participation.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Create engaging content for various platforms, including website, social media, press releases, newsletters, and reports.
• Manage the organization's social media presence, fostering community engagement and growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and influencers.
• Organize and coordinate communication aspects of events and campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness, providing regular reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and digital content creation.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment and managing projects from different locations.
• Understanding of the communication landscape and nuances within the Limpopo province is advantageous.
