Our client is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), a policy think tank, dedicated to inter alia, promoting free-market economics, individual liberty, freedom of choice, freedom of the press, speech and other human liberties. Funded by philanthropists and donors, the organisation works often behind the scenes to influence policymakers, media, and public opinion, advocating constructively for practical, market-based solutions on issues such as energy, labour law, land reform, healthcare (NHI), unemployment, just to name a few.

We're looking for a self-starter to own the organisation's entire digital presence, from content and social platforms to a website. This is a hands-on, all-rounder role for someone who thrives with minimal supervision and takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

• Push, manage, and optimise content across all social media platforms, growing visibility and engagement
• Build and populate the organisation's website, front-end and back-end, with the audience always front of mind
• Identify gaps in the current website and proactively recommend and implement what's needed
• Own Google optimisation and SEO to maximise organic reach
• Design and produce marketing materials and creative assets from scratch
• Manage the organisation's database and mailing lists
• Plan and manage marketing projects from concept to delivery
• Promote published articles and books, driving visibility for the organisation's research output
• Oversee the full communications and marketing function, working from content supplied by the organisation

• A genuine self-starter, comfortable working with minimal supervision and direction
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing, and current technology
• Working knowledge of SEO and Google optimisation
• Creative, with an eye for design and a builder's mindset (able to build a website and its content from zero)
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Own equipment, reliable connectivity as well as backup prower
• Based in Gauteng, able to be in the Bedfordview office once a week (required)

• Independent contractor position (not open to interns, some experience is required)
• Part-time may be considered for the right candidate
• Hybrid: home-based with one required office day per week in Bedfordview
