Hybrid Home working and Belfast office, minimum 2 days per week Charity Jobs NI is delighted to be working in partnership with Live Here Love Here, formerly Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, to recruit a creative and engaging Communications Officer to deliver high-impact communications across two important areas of the organisations work:
Climate Minds NI and Environmental Education. This opportunity will particularly appeal to candidates currently working as a Communications Officer, Marketing and Communications Officer, Digital Communications Officer, Content Officer, Communications Executive or Campaigns Officer who enjoy finding compelling stories, creating engaging content and communicating with a wide range of audiences. The role will be split equally between Climate Minds NI and Live Here Love Heres Environmental Education work, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to communicate around climate action, mental wellbeing, environmental education and community impact.

About the Role The Communications Officer will play a central role in bringing Live Here Love Heres work to life through creative, accessible and engaging communications. Half of the role will support Climate Minds NI, a partnership between Live Here Love Here and Inspire Wellbeing designed to strengthen the connection between mental wellbeing and climate action. The project will establish 16 climate action groups across Northern Ireland, helping underrepresented communities co-design climate solutions, strengthen wellbeing and contribute to climate justice.

The other half will support the organisations Environmental Education programmes, including work that engages children, young people, communities and businesses in environmental issues and climate action. From social media, newsletters and website content to storytelling, press releases, design and event promotion, this is a varied communications role with plenty of scope for creativity. You will work closely with colleagues, partners, stakeholders and funders to identify stories and communicate the impact of both programmes effectively.

Key Responsibilities Content and Campaign Communications Lead or support communications activity across Climate Minds NI and Environmental Education. Identify strong storytelling opportunities and develop creative ways to communicate programme impact. Create engaging content for Live Here Love Heres social media channels. Produce Climate Minds NI and Eco-Schools e-zines and newsletters. Create branded graphics and visual content using Canva. Produce reports, information materials and press releases as required.

Develop website content, including material for the myEARTH platform. Partnerships and External Communications Build and maintain effective relationships with programme partners, stakeholders, funders and sponsors. Respond to communications enquiries and identify opportunities arising from current news and developments. Attend and contribute to Climate Minds NI Monthly Management Group meetings. Monitor communications activity and report against agreed programme deliverables. Events and Creative Suppliers Support event preparation, promotion and associated communications.

Commission and oversee external graphic design, videography, photography and print services where required. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality communications across both programmes.
