Communications Manager - Advocacy

Our client, a leading advocacy organization dedicated to policy change in Randburg , is seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager . This role is crucial for shaping and disseminating our message to key stakeholders, the public, and policymakers. Working in a fully remote capacity, you will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that amplify our advocacy efforts, build public awareness, and drive engagement.

This position requires a creative thinker with a strong understanding of media relations, digital communications, and public relations.

• Develop and implement integrated communication plans to support advocacy goals.
• Create compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, website copy, newsletters, and reports.
• Manage media relations, respond to inquiries, and build relationships with journalists and influencers.
• Oversee the organization's social media presence and engagement strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably in advocacy or non-profit sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft persuasive narratives.
• Demonstrated experience in media relations and digital communications strategy.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
