Job Description & How to Apply Below
Up to £40k Hybrid - 4 days in HQ Role overview As an SEO Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering SEO, GEO and AEO strategies across a wide range of client sectors and budgets. You’ll take ownership of technical audits, content optimisation, and strategic planning, while also working with our Paid Search Manager to ensure an integrated approach.
You will be client-facing, confident in presenting SEO strategy and results, and capable of leading other team members to implement some of your recommendations.
Key Responsibilities Develop and oversee SEO strategies tailored to client objectives. Monitoring and identifying opportunities based on web data within GA4. Conduct technical SEO audits, identifying site improvements and ensuring best practice is applied. Lead keyword research, on-page optimisation, content planning, and link acquisition. Optimise for Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), ensuring content is structured for AI search engines and summarisation. Stay at the forefront of AI’s impact on search and integrate these insights into client strategies.
Provide consultancy on how SEO, PPC, and Paid Social can work together for growth (without direct PPC delivery). Liaise directly with clients, presenting SEO performance reports, insights, and recommendations. Collaborate with other divisions (content, design, PR, CRO) to deliver integrated campaigns. Ensure all campaigns are data-led, with results measured against KPIs.
The Ideal Candidate Proven agency experience in SEO, with a strong grasp of technical SEO and on-page optimisation. Setting up events tracking in GA4 via Google Tag Manager. Awareness of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and the impact of AI on search. Working knowledge of PPC and social ads, with the ability to factor them into wider digital strategies.
Experience with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console. Strong organisational skills, comfortable managing multiple clients in a fast-paced environment. Confident communicator, able to present technical recommendations and strategic direction to clients. Analytical mindset, using data to inform decisions and measure success.
What We Offer The opportunity to work alongside specialists across other areas of marketing A collaborative environment built on honesty, innovation, and commercial focus. Career progression within a growing agency with international offices. A vibrant Birmingham Jewellery Quarter office, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Incentives linked to client retention and results. 33 days holiday plus an extra day for your birthday.
