This role is supervised and collaborative. Interns assist with drafting content, supporting campaigns, and contributing to marketing projects under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications (Mar Comm) team. Final messaging, publishing, strategy, and decision‑making remain the responsibility of staff.

The on-site schedule follows an 80/20 split between the affiliate headquarters and the ReStore, while project work supports both areas. This structure provides exposure to storytelling, digital marketing, campaign execution, and community engagement across both nonprofit and retail environments.

  • Assisting with event‑day content capture and post‑event recap materials

  • Assisting with organizing and managing digital assets
Reporting & Organization
  • Tracking basic digital engagement metrics and summarizing performance
  • Supporting content calendars, timelines, and project organization

Responsibilities may expand gradually as skills and confidence develop.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Interest in nonprofit work and community impact
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In)
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus, but not required

  • Weekly check‑ins provide guidance and feedback
  • The goal of this internship is an in‑person experience
  • Limited remote work may be approved at the discretion of the direct supervisor
  • Interns must maintain the same availability and professionalism whether working remotely or in‑office
