Freelance Brand Strategist, Commercial RFPs

mindbodygreen is a trusted wellness media brand, and an increasingly diverse range of advertisers partner with us to connect with engaged, health-conscious audiences in ways that feel credible, relevant, and human.

We're looking for a freelance strategist with experience across multiple categories, from wellness, beauty, and lifestyle to automotive, fashion, and beyond, who can help us turn brand briefs into compelling, insight-driven partnership concepts and winning pitches.

The ideal person understands how to uncover the natural connection between a brand and the mindbodygreen audience, develop creative ideas that go beyond traditional media, and bring those ideas to life through strategic storytelling and persuasive proposals.

You'll partner closely with our Director of Brand Strategy and our sales team to crack the brief, develop audience and cultural insight, build the strategic story, shape integrated content and media ideas, and help write and structure the final deck. Some projects are a single section on a fast turn, others are full responses from kickoff through submission.

You're a great fit if you have 5 to 10 years of brand strategy experience, ideally in branded content, media, or agency settings, and you've written your share of RFP responses or pitch decks. You're a strong writer, you're fast without being sloppy, and you can find the insight in a category you've never worked in before. You're comfortable building in Google Slides and PowerPoint and can take a deck from rough outline to polished draft.

Experience across wellness, beauty, and lifestyle is a plus, but range and instinct matter more than a perfect category match.

RFP timelines are often tight, so we're looking for someone who can turn work around within a few days and is generally available during ET business hours when a project is live. This is a remote, as-needed freelance role with project-based work that follows the RFP calendar.
