Our client, an expanding online retailer, is looking for a skilled and creative Remote E-commerce Email Marketing Specialist to lead their email marketing initiatives. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in crafting impactful email campaigns that drive engagement, customer loyalty, and sales from anywhere in South Africa. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, segmentation, automation, and A/B testing within an e-commerce context.

• Develop and implement effective email marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
• Create engaging and persuasive email content, including promotional campaigns, newsletters, and automated workflows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart emails).
• Segment email lists based on customer behavior, demographics, and purchase history to deliver personalized content.
• Manage the execution of email campaigns using an email marketing platform (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Sendinblue).
• Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times to optimize campaign performance.
• Monitor and analyze key email marketing metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates) and report on performance.
• Ensure email campaigns comply with relevant regulations (e.g., POPIA) and maintain high deliverability rates.
• Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency and compelling visual appeal of emails.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and personalization to enhance the customer journey.
• Stay current with email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or similar role, with a focus on e-commerce.
• Demonstrable success in creating and executing effective email marketing campaigns.
• Proficiency with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools.
• Strong understanding of email segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing.
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
