E-commerce Social Media Content Creator

Our client, a fast-paced e-commerce business, is seeking a creative and talented E-commerce Social Media Content Creator to develop captivating content that drives engagement and sales. This role is central to shaping our brand's voice and visual identity across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to produce high-quality, on-brand content specifically for e-commerce marketing, including static images, short-form videos, and engaging copy.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to influence consumer perception and directly impact sales performance within a growing online retail environment. This role is based in Rustenburg, North West , a region with a growing digital presence.

Conceptualize, create, and edit a variety of engaging content for social media, including graphics, short videos (Reels, Tik Toks), carousels, and stories. Write compelling and concise copy for social media posts that aligns with brand messaging and drives user action (e.g., clicks, purchases). Ensure all content is optimized for different social media platforms and adheres to brand guidelines. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and align creative output with campaign objectives and product launches.

Stay up-to-date with the latest content creation trends, social media platform features, and best practices in e-commerce marketing. Manage and organize digital assets, maintaining a library of high-quality content. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new and innovative content ideas. Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns, providing creative input. Monitor social media engagement on created content and adapt future content based on performance.

Liaise with external partners or agencies for specific content production needs if required.

Proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Manager, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating e-commerce focus. Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut). Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms. Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Pinterest, etc.)

and their respective content requirements. Knowledge of current social media trends and viral content formats. Experience with photography and/or videography is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skills. A keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling. Familiarity with e-commerce marketing principles is advantageous.
