• Develop and execute a holistic communications and PR strategy aligned with organizational vision and goals.
• Oversee all media relations, public affairs, and corporate communication functions.
• Lead and mentor the communications and PR team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage complex crisis communication scenarios with strategic precision and calm.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, government officials, and industry stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all internal and external channels.
• Develop and approve all official statements, press releases, and communication materials.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and public sentiment, reporting key insights to executive leadership.
• Advise senior management on communication strategies and reputational risks.

• Master's degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in communications and public relations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing large-scale PR and communication strategies.
• Exceptional understanding of media operations, political landscapes, and public affairs in South Africa.
• Proven ability to manage crises effectively and protect corporate reputation.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Extensive network of contacts within the media and public sectors.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing budgets and leading teams.
