Remote E-commerce Performance Marketing Lead

Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing e-commerce business, is seeking an experienced Remote E-commerce Performance Marketing Lead to drive significant growth and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS). This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data-driven paid media strategies across various channels including Google Ads, social media advertising, and affiliate marketing.

• Develop and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies across paid search (PPC), paid social, display advertising, and affiliate channels.
• Manage and optimize large advertising budgets to achieve target ROAS and customer acquisition cost (CAC) goals.
• Conduct in-depth keyword research, audience segmentation, and campaign setup for maximum effectiveness.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with content and creative teams to develop compelling ad copy and creative assets.
• Oversee the setup and management of tracking and attribution models to accurately measure campaign effectiveness.
• Identify and test new channels, strategies, and technologies to drive incremental growth.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in performance marketing and the e-commerce industry.
• Lead and mentor junior members of the performance marketing team as the company scales.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in e-commerce performance marketing, with a strong focus on paid media.
• Proven track record of successfully managing significant advertising budgets and achieving measurable growth targets (ROAS, CPA).
• Expertise in Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other major paid media platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and bid management platforms.
• Experience with affiliate marketing platforms and strategies is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of attribution models and tracking methodologies.
