E-commerce Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-commerce Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator to join their growing team. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing our client's online brand presence and driving customer engagement through compelling content and strategic social media management. While this position is based in George, Western Cape, ZA, we offer a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating a variety of digital content, from captivating product descriptions and engaging blog posts to eye-catching social media visuals. You will also be tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of our client's social media channels, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice. Create high-quality, original content for the e-commerce website, including product descriptions, category pages, and promotional banners. Develop engaging written and visual content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) to drive traffic and conversions. Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring optimal timing and platform-specific optimization. Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and user-generated content, engaging with followers and responding to inquiries.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align content creation with overall marketing campaigns and product launches. Assist in the development and execution of social media advertising campaigns. Conduct keyword research and optimize website content for search engines (SEO). Analyze social media performance metrics and website traffic data to provide insights and recommendations. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in content creation, social media marketing, and e-commerce.

Proven experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter, or Social Media Coordinator, preferably within an e-commerce environment. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in creating visual content using tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar. Solid understanding of major social media platforms and their content requirements. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and basic SEO principles.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work setting. Strong organizational and time-management skills. A creative mindset with a passion for digital storytelling and e-commerce trends. Familiarity with analytics tools to track content performance. A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
