Communications Manager - Mahikeng

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to lead their communications efforts from their Mahikeng, North West office. • Develop and execute comprehensive internal and external communication strategies.
• Manage all aspects of media relations, including press releases, media pitching, and crisis communication.

• Manage internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government, and community leaders.
• Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, reporting on key trends and insights.
• Organize and manage company events, press conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure aligned messaging.
• Provide strategic communication advice to senior leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in communications management, PR, or media relations.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in managing media relations and crisis communications.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
• Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and office-based responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the Mahikeng and wider North West region's media and communication landscape is advantageous.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and community relations.
