E-commerce Retail Manager

Our client, a leading innovator in the online retail space, is seeking a visionary and results-driven E-commerce Retail Manager to lead their digital operations from Cape Town, Western Cape . This fully remote position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, customer acquisition, and online sales optimization. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Our client's online store, from website performance and user experience to marketing campaigns and sales growth.

• Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive online sales, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
• Manage and optimize the company's e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless user experience, efficient navigation, and high conversion rates.
• Oversee all digital marketing activities, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content creation, to drive qualified traffic and customer acquisition.
• Analyze website performance metrics, sales data, and customer behavior to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Manage online merchandising, product catalog updates, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, IT, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive online customer journey.
• Stay abreast of the latest e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
• Develop and manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve ROI targets.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of e-commerce specialists, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce management, with a proven track record of driving online sales growth.
• Extensive knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and digital marketing channels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in managing remote teams and working in a distributed work environment.
• Demonstrated experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and customer journey mapping.
• A passion for digital innovation and a keen understanding of consumer online behavior.
• Based in South Africa , with the ability to work effectively in a remote capacity.
