Remote Senior Communications Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing technology startup with a global footprint, is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Manager to lead their remote communications strategy. This role is critical for shaping the company's narrative, managing media relations, and driving internal and external communication efforts worldwide. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication plans that align with the company's mission and business objectives.

Develop and implement overarching communication strategies, including media relations, public affairs, internal communications, and digital presence. Manage all aspects of media relations, including proactive outreach, crisis communication, and spokesperson training. Craft compelling messaging and positioning for the company, its products, and leadership. Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, company statements, and other key communications. Lead internal communication initiatives to ensure employee engagement and alignment across global teams.

Manage the company's social media presence and online reputation. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop communication strategies and talking points. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, reporting on key metrics and insights. Manage external PR agencies and vendors as needed. Mentor and guide junior members of the communications team.

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and corporate communications, with significant experience in a technology or startup environment. Proven ability to develop and execute successful, integrated communication strategies for a global audience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of storytelling and executive messaging.

Extensive experience in media relations, including building relationships with top-tier media outlets. Demonstrated experience in crisis communications and managing sensitive issues. Strong understanding of digital communication channels, social media, and content marketing. Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and collaborate effectively in a distributed, remote team structure. Experience working with C-suite executives.
