About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote SEO Strategist to join their dedicated, fully remote marketing department. This crucial role will involve developing and implementing advanced search engine optimization strategies to significantly enhance organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic to our digital properties. You will be the architect of our organic growth, conducting in-depth analysis, identifying opportunities, and executing on-page and off-page SEO tactics.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in South Africa, without needing to be based in Welkom, Free State
.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, including keyword research, content optimization, technical SEO, and link building.
Conduct thorough website audits to identify SEO issues and recommend solutions.
Analyze website traffic and search engine performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Implement on-page optimization techniques, including meta tag optimization, content structuring, and internal linking.
Develop and manage off-page SEO strategies, focusing on acquiring high-quality backlinks.
Monitor search engine rankings and provide regular performance reports with actionable insights.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
Collaborate with content creators and web developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all digital assets.

Requirements

Proven experience as an SEO Strategist, SEO Specialist, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful SEO campaigns.
In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar.
Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and off-page strategies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for clear remote collaboration.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
