Position: Program Associate, Concierge Board Placement (Part-Time, Remote)
Location: New York

Cause Strategy Partners is seeking a talented, mission-driven Program Associate who values working in an upbeat, collaborative environment.

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Associate of Concierge Board Placement will report to the Senior Program Associate of Concierge Board Placement & Special Projects, in order to support professionals from Fortune 500 companies, philanthropic foundations, and nonprofit organizations to drive high-impact nonprofit board placement, training, and support.

The Program Associate will support ongoing Concierge Board Placement (CBP) engagements by managing CBP data, developing assets like presentation decks and executive profiles, and conducting nonprofit research to support current and future engagements. It will be the role of the Program Associate to put forward nonprofits that are a great fit for executives by gaining a firm understanding of both the executive’s preferences and a nonprofit’s programs and services, among other key details.

As appropriate, the Program Associate will support the CBP service by developing new tools and systems to continually improve our work.

The Program Associate will be responsible for:

  • Providing critical support to Concierge Board Placement (CBP) service by working closely with the Senior Program Associate (SPA), supporting their leadership of our Concierge Board Placement work, including:
    • Creating externally facing assets associated with CBP engagements, such as highly polished presentation decks and executive profiles to be shared with senior executives and nonprofit leadership.

    • Supporting scheduling between CBP team and external stakeholders for standard service meetings like Discovery calls, nonprofit presentations, and nonprofit interest calls.

    • Researching by digging deep into the world of nonprofits and becoming familiar with the public sector landscape in order to discover organizations doing meaningful work based on executives’ research criteria.

    • Conducting outreach to nonprofit leaders to build our list of nonprofits interested in the Concierge Board Placement service.

    • Keeping all CBP databases up to date with new information from research, email correspondence, and/or call notes.

    • Working with the Board Learn and Business Development teams to close engagements.

    • Supporting SPA with the CBP evaluation process and data management.

    • Organizing and analyzing CBP service and evaluation data to measure outcomes.

    • Where appropriate, providing feedback on systems and processes to refine program design and success.

Collaborating with the Cause Strategy Partners team in our commitment to continuous learning and optimization as we strengthen the tools, systems, and processes used to execute all programs by sharing and documenting feedback on all phases of program preparation and execution.

Supporting ongoing internal and external projects in partnership with the Cause Strategy Partners team.

Performing other duties as necessary and assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The Program Associate selected to fill this position will report to the Senior Program Associate of Concierge Board Placement & Special Projects. The individual selected to fill this important position will be expected to perform their work in accord with the values of Cause Strategy Partners. They must be adept at a number of core competencies, including:

  • Strong verbal & written communicator: The Program Associate should be an effective, clear, and professional communicator, with an ability to make quick connections, leave positive impressions, and build positive relationships with a variety of external stakeholders, especially a nonprofit audience.
  • Detail- & deadline-oriented: Ability to manage workflow effectively, to track and keep tight deadlines.
  • Possess technological & design prowess: The candidate must be skilled in building and using effective program and team management tools. Ideally, the candidate should be experienced with Google Suite, including Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs. Hub Spot experience is a plus.
