Do What You Love to End Alzheimer's Volunteer Committee
The Do What You Love Campaign, one of the Alzheimer's Association's signature fundraisers, helps individuals take anything they love to do and turn it into a way to raise funds and awareness to end Alzheimer's. This could be hobbies, sports, parties - anything they love to do! DWYL raised over $13 million dollars last year to fund care, support, and research!
Volunteers get to use their favorite hobbies to help support a cause that is meaningful to them.
This committee meets monthly (in person and virtual) to help work on this campaign. They make calls, do outreach, and have fun. Committee members choose an area of focus - marketing, outreach, or participant engagement. Everyone on the committee has a passion to make a difference, so it is a wonderful group of people to meet and work with.
Opportunity Requirements & Important NotesTime Commitment: A monthly meeting in addition to a few hours per month depending on how involved volunteers would like to be.
Onboarding Process: The onboarding process is very informal and starts with a meeting with a Alzheimer's Association staff person to learn more about the volunteer role. If the volunteer decides to continue, they will be invited to the next committee meeting.

Open to meeting new people and discussing the work Alzheimer's Association is doing as well as have a desire to help the cause.

Anyone with a passion for a specific hobby, sport, or activity is wonderful (though not required)
Physical Requirements: This isn't a physical volunteer role. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations.
Attire: Many meetings are virtual, but when in-person, anything from casual to business casual or business is all acceptable.
