Position Summary: The Maryland Regional Operations Coordinator supports Safe House Project’s (SHP) efforts within the state of Maryland by focusing on direct survivor support and regional community outreach. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Coordinator’s primary role is to engage with key stakeholders and community partners and augment survivor support for their region. The Regional Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in participating in task force activities, coordinating local resources, and ensuring that survivor needs are met through local programs and services.

• Community Engagement and Outreach:
  • Assist the Regional Operations Manager in cultivating relationships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations to improve regional response efforts.
  • Actively participate in local task forces and coalitions focused on combating human trafficking, ensuring SHP is well-represented in regional initiatives.
  • Support awareness-raising activities, such as community presentations and outreach events, to educate stakeholders on human trafficking dynamics and resources available for survivors.

  • Map local resources, identifying strengths and gaps in services available for trafficking survivors.
  • Act as a connector between survivors and local services, ensuring that survivors receive timely and appropriate support.
  • Serve as a regional point of contact for survivor support, coordinating closely with the Regional Operations Manager to ensure that all outreach and support activities align with SHP’s mission.
• Provide trauma-informed support to survivors of human trafficking, including intake, initial case triage, and coordination of services and placements.
• Collaborate with local service providers to ensure survivors receive appropriate referrals and placements based on their needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of survivor interactions, case notes, and service outcomes within SHP’s tracking systems.
• Data Management and Reporting:
  • Ensure that all survivor support activities are thoroughly documented in SHP’s data systems, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide regular reports on survivor cases, community engagement efforts, and regional trends to the Regional Operations Manager for program assessment and improvement.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in victim advocacy, law enforcement, military, or cross-sector collaboration.
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams and overseeing complex projects.
• Deep understanding of regional dynamics, particularly in rural and tribal communities, and ability to navigate diverse cultural environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong cross-sector relationships.
• Proficiency in data tracking and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting of survivor support efforts and outcomes.
