Rising Sun is hiring a full‑time Regional Manager (RM) to implement the Climate Careers program in two sites within the Central Valley Region (Fresno County and Tulare County). The RM reports directly to the Senior Program Manager and supervises a team of temporary staff members. The focus is providing youth with their first green job, while also helping local households build climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, and support 4 seasonal summer program managers and 1 seasonal program coordinator who oversee youth program participants and site operations.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire 18 local youth ages 15‑24 to participate in and complete the Climate Careers program, providing hundreds of Green House Calls to residents and advancing to paid externships in the fall.
  • Support the Data & Operations team in identifying local temporary site offices.
  • Implement a ten‑week long Climate Careers program in two site offices, ensuring day‑to‑day and program‑wide goals are met.
  • Work with seasonal staff to ensure effective phone banking, Green House Call scheduling, quality assurance, retraining, incident resolution, and documentation.
  • Plan, organize, and execute program events such as site office open houses and end‑of‑program celebrations.
  • Plan, manage, report pre‑ and post‑program activities to ensure outcomes and deliverables are met.
  • Identify and nurture strategic relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and funders.
Required Qualifications
  • Car, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Ability to work in‑person and on‑site across the Central Valley (Fresno and Tulare) when required, especially during spring and summer.
  • Residency in Central California (Fresno or Tulare) or ability to move, and ability to travel to and work onsite at Rising Sun’s office in Oakland and/or Stockton as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supervising, training, and recruiting youth ages 15‑24, especially from low‑income households or opportunity youth.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Punjabi, Tagalog, or Portuguese preferred.
  • Experience using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, or Salesforce.
About the Role

The RM works in collaboration with the Climate Careers team, participating in regular strategy and deliverable tracking meetings, team‑building activities, joint problem‑solving sessions, resource sharing, and consistent feedback loops. The program combines home energy and water‑saving services with youth development, providing no‑cost Green House Call services that include energy and water use assessments, installation of efficiency devices, and client education.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary: $77,564 – $81,442.20 (commensurate with experience).
  • Full‑time, exempt, salaried position.
