Music in World Cultures (MIWC) is seeking a part-time Communications Lead to support our growing international ministry. This is a new role, created to strengthen and expand our communication capacity as the organization grows. It is ideal for someone who loves clear communication, values global Kingdom impact, and thrives in a remote, flexible work environment.

Position SummaryThe Communications Lead is responsible for coordinating the organization’s core communication efforts, including email campaigns, newsletters, digital media, and content workflows. This role ensures consistent messaging across newsletters, donor updates, social media support, and promotional materials. The position also provides secondary support to donor engagement efforts by assisting the Donor Relations Manager with thank-you follow-ups, volunteer tracking, and communication workflows as needed.
This is a part-time, remote position requiring strong self-management, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
Other duties in support of the mission may be assigned, such as coordination of events, conferences, and meetings.
Primary Responsibilities Email and Newsletter Communications- Create, schedule, and send:
- 1–2 general list emails (newsletters, fundraising appeals) per month
- 1 monthly prayer team update
- 2 long‑form newsletters annually
- 2 postcard‑style designs annually
- Design and update email templates (e.g., welcome emails, donation response emails)
- Create and maintain audience segments and lists in CRM/email system (i.e., Bloomerang CRM)
- Updating communication logs and tasks in
- Create or update Canva materials (e.g., sponsorship packets, information brochures)
- Curate, organize, and archive photo and video content; assist in evaluating and implementing a system for long‑term media management
- Ensure visual and brand consistency across all organizational communications
- Assist the Donor Relations Manager with:
- Collecting and tracking volunteer hours
- Contacting donors for thank‑you calls and cards
- Assist the Social Media Coordinator with routine posting, scheduling, and basic content updates, in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
- Experience with email platforms and CRM systems (such as Bloomerang CRM)
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite
- Competence with Canva or similar design tools
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Comfort working remotely and independently; strong time‑management abilities.
- Skilled in using AI tools (such as ChatGPT) to support content creation and improve communication workflows.
- Familiarity with managing or assisting with content on major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, and Linked In.
- Understanding of nonprofit public relations, storytelling, and donor‑focused communication preferred.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to the vision and mission of the organization.
- Demonstrates personal commitment to Christ and aligns with the organization’s Statement of Faith and ministry distinctives.
- Lives out Christian faith commitments in both personal conduct and professional responsibilities.

- Average 5–10 hours/week
- May rise to 12–15 hours/week because of increased communication volume during November–December (Giving Tuesday & Year‑End Campaigns)
- Fully remote/virtual
