Organization OverviewMost workforce development programs for people experiencing homelessness fail because they ignore a fundamental truth: you can't hold down a job if you don't have stable housing. And you can't secure housing without steady employment. Entryway breaks this cycle by solving both problems simultaneously through strategic partnerships with the real estate industry. In just four years, we've expanded from 5 to 11 markets, placing hundreds of individuals into career-track positions while securing stable housing—proving our model works we're ready to go national, and we need a fundraiser who can tell this story to the people who can fuel our growth.
Position Overview- Entryway is seeking a dynamic, goal-driven Director of Development to build and lead a national fundraising strategy that fuels organizational growth.
- This new role is ideal for an experienced fundraiser who:
- Thrives on building relationships with high-net-worth donors, C-suite leaders, and corporate decision-makers
- Gets energy from the “ask” and consistently meets or exceeds revenue goals

The Director of Development will lead national revenue generation across corporate partnerships, individual major gifts, and annual giving. This role will also play a key part in establishing a national fundraising event—potentially in Washington, DC or New York City—to elevate Entryway's visibility and grow philanthropic support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that grows revenue for national operations.
- Expand Entryway’s base of major donors, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate sponsors.
- Design and implement a strategic framework for donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Partner with the Senior Vice President of External Affairs to set annual revenue goals and track performance.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of national corporate partners.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit new high-value prospects, including C-suite leaders and industry influencers.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to donor interests and Entryway priorities.
- Maintain strong year-round stewardship that deepens engagement and renews giving.
- Support the planning and launch of a signature national fundraising event (DC or NYC) to build brand visibility and expand donor engagement.
- Work with National Board and volunteer leaders to secure sponsor ships and high-level attendance.
- Partner closely with the Marketing & Development Manager, National Partnerships Manager, and local Executive Directors to ensure cohesive and effective donor engagement.
- Work closely with CEO and members of the National Board to cultivate relationships through introductions, stewardship, and strategic outreach.
- Support fundraising operations to ensure accuracy, timely follow-up, and donor satisfaction.
- Represent Entryway with the highest level of professionalism—in writing, virtually, and in person—with donors, prospects, and partners.
- Protect confidential donor information with discretion.
- Model a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the national team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of successful fundraising experience, including major gifts or corporate partnerships.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Skilled in building relationships with high-net-worth donors, corporate executives, and foundation leaders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to craft compelling cases for support.
- Experience with donor management CRMs and fundraising operations best practices.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by goals and outcomes.
- Comfort working in a remote, entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment.
- Salary range $90,000 - $105,000
