The Online Giving Coordinator interacts with donors and community members to implement effective digital giving strategies, cultivate peer to peer virtual giving campaigns, encourage innovative online giving such as workplace giving, and provide technical assistance to donors giving online and using our peer to peer giving platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Sets and is accountable for goals related to total funds raised through Virtual Food Drives and total number of Virtual Food Drives throughout the year.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact in the process of setting up physical and virtual food drives for Food Bank partners, from receiving inquiries, providing resources and guidance, setting up virtual fundraising page, trouble shooting and providing updates, tracking and wrap up reports.
  • Cultivates, recruits and stewards virtual food drive participants
  • Build relationships with donors to raise awareness and funds for the Food Bank.
  • Works with Corporate, Civic and Religious team staff to provide technical support for Virtual Food Drive Challenges
  • Provides information and support as needed to other Food Bank branch staff members about Virtual Food Drives and Peer to Peer fundraising at the branch level.
  • Coordinates with the Corporate Partnerships team and other Food Bank departments on large-scale food drives with a virtual fundraising component, such as NALC Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger, NC State Hunger Relief Day, ABC
    11 Together Food Drive, etc.
Customer Service (25%)
  • Interacts as necessary with the donors services team (philanthropy funds) and the Ceres system (food tracking) to properly record and acknowledge organizations and individuals participating in food drives, FVD or fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide Technical assistance to individuals needing online giving support
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; four-year degree strongly preferred in business, marketing, communications, or another related field.
  • One to three years of related relevant or related experience in an external-facing role (communications, peer to peer fundraising, community outreach, volunteer management, sales, etc.) is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proven ability to speak in front of groups.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent customer service, including friendliness and professionalism, is required.
  • Preferred Database management experience (Blackbaud NXT and BBP2P)
  • Ability to work effectively across lines of difference.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Creativity and thoughtfulness in problem solving.
  • Must believe in the mission of the organization.
