Overview

Here at Youth4

Youth

, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. Our growing team of volunteers all contribute, significantly, to the impact that we have as a charity on our direct beneficiaries, regardless of the department that they work in or the level of time that they are able to commit.
Our services primarily offer a peer-support network to young people right across the UK, allowing them to access a peer mentor who is of a similar age to them and somebody that they feel more comfortable speaking with.

If successful, you will be joining a growing team of diverse, but like-minded individuals, collaborating to increase the reach of the Charity and improve support provisions available to young people. All of our volunteers and employees are remote workers
, but that doesn t stop us keeping in touch and maintaining a strong positive culture amongst our whole team.

About the role

Here at Youth4

Youth, we hugely value involving young people in decisions made about how the charity supports young people. We are pleased that we continue to build the relationship that our Board of Trustees has with young people through our Youth Voice Team.

If you are aged 14 to 25
, this is a great opportunity to join a growing and adaptable youth-focussed charity and make a real impact. As a member of the Youth Voice Team, you will play a key role in providing feedback to the Board of Trustees on the Charity, promote youth voice from within and, ultimately, influence decisions made about the charity and how we remain relevant to the needs of those that we support.

We are happy to help you with any volunteering hours required for programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh award - let us know when you get started so that we can track your hours and sign them off.

What our Youth Voice team needs from you
  • Attend regular Youth Voice meetings (normally held monthly), where you will play an active role in discussing the current status of the Charity and its growth

  • Influence decisions that are made to make sure that we stay relevant to the needs of young people - this includes the general direction of the charity, the services that we offer, the way that we engage with young people and much more!

  • Be an ambassador for the charity and share what we do with others (such as your peers and your local community) to gather feedback and insights to help us understand the needs of young people.

  • Get involved in other areas that interest you, such as social media, fundraising and much more.

Our mission is to continue to grow towards becoming one of the best charities in the UK. Our aim is to do this by building a diverse team, rich with different backgrounds and perspectives. Therefore, even if you feel you only are a 75% match, we would still love to hear from you. Skills can be learned, but diversity cannot.

Benefits of volunteering with Youth4
