OverviewOur client is seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Relationship Executive to join their fundraising and community engagement function. This role focuses on recruiting, inspiring, and supporting volunteers who play a vital role in representing the organisation across churches, events, festivals, and community fundraising initiatives throughout the UK.
This is a people-focused role suited to someone who enjoys building strong relationships, motivating others, and enabling volunteers to make a meaningful impact in line with a faith-based mission and values.
Responsibilities- Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers across church, community, and event-based fundraising activities.
- Inspire and equip volunteers to confidently represent the organisation at churches, festivals, events, and community settings.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and motivated.
- Support volunteers in delivering fundraising talks and presentations to diverse audiences.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to source and share compelling stories of need and impact.
- Contribute to the achievement of fundraising and engagement targets through effective volunteer mobilisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve volunteer experience and introduce new ways of working using a test-and-learn approach.
- Manage multiple activities end-to-end, ensuring high standards of delivery and follow-up.
- Experience supporting volunteers at conferences, festivals, events, or community activities.
- Experience delivering fundraising talks or presentations.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving challenging targets and objectives.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and inspire volunteers and supporters.
- Ability to manage activities from initiation through to completion.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with the agility to respond to changing priorities.
- Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with enthusiasm for innovation and continuous improvement.
- This role is eligible for hybrid working, with time split between home and a UK office location by agreement.
