CPAWS advances the long-term protection of ecologically and culturally significant landscapes and waters, in ways that respect the sovereignty and leadership of Indigenous Nations. We achieve our mission through evidence-based advocacy, public engagement and strong partnerships.
Our vision is bold: permanently protect at least half of Canada’s land, freshwater and ocean to sustain nature and people for generations to come.
Operating on the unceded and unsurrendered lands of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, CPAWS works across treaty and unceded territories nationwide. We are committed to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, and to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for people from diverse backgrounds.
