Location: Bowness-on-Windermere

Contract: Full-time, fixed-term for 2 years

Location: Lakeland Arts museums in Bowness and Kendal, or remote working will be considered for the right candidate

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

Lakeland Arts is looking for a Grants and Trusts Manager to help grow income from Charitable Trusts, Foundations and statutory funders.

This role will support our artistic, heritage, learning and engagement programmes across Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house, Abbot Hall and Windermere Jetty Museum
.

Working closely with the Head of Development and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll identify new funding opportunities, write compelling applications, manage a funding pipeline and build strong relationships with funders.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and research funding opportunities from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies.
  • Write persuasive funding applications and reports.
  • Manage a proactive fundraising pipeline and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop strong, well-informed funding bids.
  • Use CRM systems to record activity, track progress and support reporting.
  • Ensure fundraising activity follows best practice, charity law, data protection and internal policies.
About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience writing successful funding applications or proposals.
  • Strong written communication, research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confidence building relationships with colleagues and funders.
  • Experience using a CRM or database.
  • A collaborative, proactive and adaptable approach.
  • An interest in arts, heritage, museums, galleries or public engagement.

Experience in the arts, culture, heritage or charity sector is desirable, but not essential.
