Position: Volunteer Engagement Consultant at Island Health
Drive volunteer services with Island Health as a Consultant for Volunteer Engagement in Nanaimo and Oceanside. This hybrid role emphasizes recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
You will report to the Manager of Volunteer Engagement, taking charge of administration and maintenance of volunteer service programs. Your responsibilities will include screening, orientation, and evaluation of volunteers while assisting in service program operations. Given the regional focus, frequent travel is required between Island Health sites, making a dedicated home office crucial for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee volunteer recruitment and screening processes

• Conduct orientation and training for new volunteers

• Evaluate volunteer performance and provide feedback

• Support daily operations of client service programs

• Assist in promoting volunteer services within the community
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field

• Three years of relevant experience

• Strong administration and supervisory skills

• Excellent communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Provide critical support in volunteer management, fostering community outreach through effective engagement strategies.
