Indigenous Engagement Coordinator

Position: Indigenous Engagement Coordinator Hybrid Role
Advance community relations as an Indigenous Engagement Coordinator with Black Diamond Group in Calgary, AB. This hybrid position features 50% travel and emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous nations and communities.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Indigenous Relations, the Coordinator will assist in executing Black Diamond's Indigenous and Community Relations strategies. Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience working with Indigenous communities and possess superior relationship management skills to foster long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous organizations

• Coordinate meetings with Chiefs, Councils, and Elders

• Support community employment and training initiatives

• Prepare presentations for stakeholders regarding initiatives

• Attend trade shows and strategic conferences

Requirements:

• Background in Social Sciences, Sustainability, or Business

• 2-5 years of relevant experience with Indigenous peoples

• Proven organizational and planning skills

• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities

• Results-driven mindset with a solutions-focused approach
