Responsibilities
  • Lead IWI’s member relations efforts, including strategizing, planning, and implementing activities and services that provide value to members, promote membership retention and growth, and enhance IWI’s earned revenues through membership development and sponsor ships.
  • Manage all aspects of developing, strengthening, and maintaining IWI’s corporate and individual membership network, including development of long‑term and short‑term membership development benchmarks and budgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing strategically, run direct mail campaigns, utilize social media and website content, and lead IWI’s member relations efforts.
  • Ensure a culture of service to members is preserved and promoted throughout IWI, and integrate membership activities into all aspects of IWI’s work, aligning with the strategic plan and services.
  • Respond to enquiries from current and prospective members, track results, and plan / manage membership events such as workshops, networking events, IWI’s Annual Conference, and other trainings.
  • Maintain and optimise IWI’s membership database, recommend strategies and solutions for staff, provide training, and plan records management, data collection, technology, and reporting to support membership goals.
  • Develop, negotiate, implement, maintain, and evaluate IWI’s member benefits; promote and market member benefits and services.
  • Negotiate and monitor contracts with vendors and business members, maximizing value for members, ensuring compliance, and monitoring earned revenues from business products.
  • Act as liaison between IWI and members, maintaining relationships and solving problems.
  • Conduct prospect research, target and solicit corporations and businesses for membership, donations, and event sponsor ships.
  • Manage donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to plan and carry out additional resource development activities.
  • Maintain relations with associations, professional membership organisations, and nonprofit networks to inform development and management of membership and business programmes.
  • Manage activities of staff, volunteers, and contractors in membership areas and oversee the administrative systems supporting these areas.
  • Lead efforts on other short‑term IWI projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional people skills and high level of proficiency in written and oral communication, including listening and speaking with individuals and large audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation and dedication to providing assistance.
  • Enjoy meeting others and learning about their successes and challenges in nonprofit endeavors.
  • Strong project planning, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities, self‑motivated, self‑directed with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Able to manage interruptions and details effectively.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the nonprofit sector, preferably in senior management roles.
  • Experience with constituent relationship management systems for membership tracking.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fundraising/sales, including corporate sponsor ships.
  • Enjoy working in a fast‑paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Time Commitment

Time Commitment: The minimum commitment is an average of 10 hours per week, including a weekly one‑on‑one meeting with supervisor.
