Renfrew Development Trust is seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Development Officer to support the ongoing development and delivery of our activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest in community development, local engagement and supporting projects that make a positive difference in Renfrew.
About the roleThe Development Officer will support a range of organisational activities, including community engagement, volunteer coordination, project support, and the planning and delivery of activities and events.
The role will also involve helping to develop new initiatives and opportunities that support the growth and impact of Renfrew Development Trust.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, confident working with people, and able to manage different priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers, community partners and local residents.
The position is primarily home-based, with attendance required at meetings, events and activities in Renfrew as needed. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, as some evening and weekend work may be required.

- Partnership working with local groups, organisations and stakeholders
- Reporting updates and progress to the Board of Directors
- General organisational development and administration
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working with communities and/or volunteers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of supporting projects, events or programmes
- An understanding of community development principles
- Experience of working with, presenting to, and reporting back to a Board of Directors
A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential.
LocationThe role is primarily home-based, with regular attendance required in Renfrew for meetings, events and community activities.
