Single Homeless Project (SHP) is London’s leading homelessness charity. We prevent homelessness, provide safe living spaces, and support people to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. We work with trust, build relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the stability and opportunity they deserve.

About the Project Coordinator Role

This role offers an opportunity to turn potential into possibility for people who have been locked out of opportunity. As Project Coordinator you will coordinate the day‑to‑day delivery of SHP’s Achieving Potential programme, managing activities, keeping information current, and ensuring clear communication across teams, participants, volunteers and partners. You will maintain the programme prospectus, manage enquiries, track engagement and outcomes, and support participants to move between opportunities in a meaningful, joined‑up way.

You will also build relationships with colleges, employers, training providers and community organisations to create new routes for people to build skills, confidence and independence. The role is hybrid: three days in our SHP offices and services with the opportunity to work from home on other days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery of the Achieving Potential programme.
  • Plan and monitor programme activities, ensuring information is updated and communication is clear.
  • Maintain the programme prospectus and manage enquiries.
  • Track participant engagement and outcomes.
  • Support participants in moving between opportunities.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with colleges, employers, training providers and community organisations.
  • Work in a hybrid model – three days in the SHP offices and services with the option to work from home.
Skills and Experience
  • Natural organiser who turns ideas into clear plans and smooth systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; builds trust easily, bringing warmth, curiosity and respect to work with clients, colleagues, volunteers and partners.
  • Committed to helping people move towards their goals, believing that futures should not be limited by homelessness, trauma or disadvantage.
  • Confident keeping projects on track, whether managing information, coordinating schedules or communicating clearly.
Benefits
  • Salary increase after successfully completing six months’ probationary period.
  • 37.5 hour working week with flexible working hours (core hours 10am – 4pm). Non‑accommodation services.
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing annually to a maximum of 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays).
  • Contributory pension scheme – single contribution of 5% of annual salary.
  • Staff health cash plan and discounts scheme.
  • Comprehensive integrated training programme designed to develop the skills and knowledge involved in our work.
Equal Opportunities Statement

Single Homeless Project is actively committed to equal opportunities and the promotion of diversity and inclusion in all of our services and workplaces. We are Disability Confident Committed and are IIP Silver accredited.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
