About the role
The Senior Information and Library Officer will develop and deliver high-quality library and information services to CoramBAAF colleagues, members and visitors. This role supports a small, friendly team and involves supervising volunteers, managing a new library space and participating in the Library Management System replacement project.
Purpose of the Role- Contribute to member services by providing a timely and comprehensive current awareness service, researching responses to enquiries received via the Advice Line, and updating information on our website.
- Support colleagues across the organisation – especially the Policy, Research & Development, Training & Events and Publications teams – by providing relevant information and resources.
- Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with cataloguing, stock‑taking and supporting library visitors.
- Maximise the opportunities presented by the new location and online catalogue to increase the visibility and use of the collection through training, promotion, outreach activities and welcoming visitors.
- Develop the collection by adding previously uncatalogued print and electronic material to the catalogue (Soutron library management system), streamlining collection development processes and monitoring resource usage.
Approximately 31.5 hours per week (0.9 FTE). We are open to considering flexible working arrangements, including a 4.5‑day per week or 9‑day per fortnight schedule, within the constraints of the role.
