Job Summary Events & Challenges Fundraiser Join Our Passionate Event Fundraising Team!

Are you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? Do you enjoy organising events which bring people together? Weston Hospice care is looking for an enthusiastic Events Fundraiser to join our exciting Events Fundraising Team. Together, we will motivate and support people to have fun and take on a challenge while raising vital funds that help us provide care and support to patients and families across our community.

This is a truly rewarding role where you'll work alongside passionate colleagues, build meaningful relationships and help grow our fundraising events programme. Whether its helping someone train for a marathon, creating exciting events that inspire people to get involved or supporting people to fundraise effectively, your efforts will have a lasting impact.

What you'll be doing:
  • Inspire and Support: Encourage and assist individuals and teams in their participation in our fundraising events, helping them to keep going.
  • Building relationships - Connecting with individuals understanding their motivations for taking part in events and supporting them to undertake their challenge.
  • Organise events - Assist the Events and Challenges Manger to plan and deliver memorable and safe fundraising events including sponsored walks, memory services, mass participation events and challenges.
  • Collaborate Creatively - Work with our communications team to create impactful marketing materials to promote events.
  • Recognise and Appreciate - Record donor details using our Beacon Database and ensure every supporter and participant received heartfelt thanks.
  • Recruit volunteers - Help grow our volunteer base to support events.
We're Looking For:

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has excellent event organisation skills.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Shares our passion for making a difference in the community.
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment.
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
  • Ideally has some event fundraising experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Holds a full driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
