Job Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated person as our Community Mission Facilitator who has a vision and a passion for working with an outward looking Church and Community Centre in Castleford.
- Research the needs of the local community with a view to leading and developing both community and faith-based initiatives.
- Lead and support intergenerational activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain relevant records.
- To supervise and co-ordinate volunteers.
- Assist with the general administration associated with the Corps programme, ensuring that the paperwork is promptly and correctly dealt with and accurate records maintained.
- Knowledge of The Salvation Army.
- Experience of managing staff and volunteers, including recruitment of volunteers.
- They are a practising Christian and actively involved with your own Church
- Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and are able to develop good working relationships with colleagues, programme participants with compassion.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved with your own Church and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS:
Enhanced DBS Check of the Adult Workforce and Enhanced with Barred List Check of the Child Workforce and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.
