Our vision
- A world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.
We want to see a world where every young person who is struggling feels able to reach out, and has people and services around them who can really help.
The Senior Philanthropy Officer will work closely with our Philanthropy Managers, Head of Philanthropy and colleagues across the organisation to lead complex funding proposals and manage a portfolio of higher-value donor relationships and grants, ensuring that our policies and procedures are followed.
As Young Minds’ Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will play a key role in our Philanthropy team, providing an intermediate level of seniority between our Philanthropy Officer and Philanthropy Managers. You will take ownership of prospect pipeline development and lead or support stewardship of a range of major donor and Trust and Foundation partners and prospects, acting as a bridge between operational fundraising delivery and strategic partnership development.
It’s a role that engages with colleagues across the organisation, at all levels, and will give you the opportunity to work closely with them to maximise income from major six- and seven-figure partnerships.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious philanthropy fundraiser to step up into a role to lead complex, multi-year funding proposals and manage higher-value donor relationships as part of our Philanthropy & Partnerships team.
Final date to receive applications: 20 Sep 2026

Develop and maintain creative stewardship and cultivation plans across major donor and T&F relationships. - Reporting, compliance and sector awareness:
Keep CRM data and monthly/quarterly reporting accurate and on-target, ensure GDPR and fundraising compliance, and stay current on sector trends to inform the team's strategic priorities.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on experience of managing complex donor relationships or multi-year grants, developing compelling funding proposals for trusts, foundations or major donors, and working with data to set and deliver meaningful income targets to a satisfactory level.
You will build excellent, trusting relationships with trusts, foundations and major donors, developing compelling, cause-led propositions and providing proportionate, high-quality account management and stewardship. You will identify and develop larger-scale funding opportunities, think creatively about stewardship opportunities and events, and manage risk and sensitivity in donor relationships with confidence.
