Contract:

Permanent Salary: £45,563 - £48,375 pro rata, depending in experience (actual £ 22,781 - £24,187) Closing Date:

About the Role Working across programme acquisition, programme quality and donor reporting, you will ensure that evidence, learning and technical expertise are translated into competitive funding opportunities and effective programme delivery. You will combine technical health and nutrition expertise with strong donor awareness to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and communities whilst supporting institutional funding ambitions.

You will work collaboratively across the charity, consortium partners and donor-funded programme teams. You will build trusted relationships, influence without direct authority and provide technical leadership across diverse geographical and cultural contexts and balance programme quality, donor expectations and organisational priorities, using sound judgement to support decision-making and manage risk. The role requires strong collaboration, curiosity, accountability and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

This role is based at the Milton Keynes office. You will need to work from the office for a minimum of 1 day per week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days. About You To succeed in this role you will need: A degree or equivalent qualification in Health, Nutrition or a related discipline.

Significant experience in health and nutrition programme design and proposal development, including demonstrated experience and a successful track-record in the development of proposals for grants and commercial contracts across a variety of institutional funders. Strong understanding of institutional donor funding mechanisms and requirements. Experience developing theories of change, results frameworks, indicators and logframes. Demonstrable experience providing technical support and quality assurance to donor-funded programmes, including managing or supporting rapid-response and demand-led technical assistance assignments (e.g. scoping, mobilisation of experts, quality assurance and delivery oversight) Experience integrating gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding and community accountability into programme design.

Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-specialist audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to challenging deadlines.
